We, subnational governments and devolved governments, are gathered at the Regions4 General Assembly in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from June 26-28, 2024, under the theme “Empowered Subnational and Devolved Governments Shaping a Sustainable, Just, and Resilient Future.” At this assembly, we have adopted the Rio de Janeiro Political Declaration as follows.
