Regions4 Annual Report 2025
Regions4’s Annual Report 2025 highlights a year of expanded impact, strengthened collaboration, and tangible progress across our network. In 2025, we grew to 56 members in 24 countries, collectively representing 171 subnational governments reaching over 430 million people.
Our global RegionsAdapt initiative continued to drive climate resilience, with 85 regions strengthening their leadership, supported by the launch of the RegionsAdapt Report 2025 on Financing Adaptation, shaping adaptation finance agendas. In West Africa, 15 regions strengthened biodiversity and climate resilience through targeted support. The launch of the Just Resilience Action Platform (JRAP), supported by the Scottish Government and partners, strengthen cooperation between regions and support access to funding for the territories most exposed to climate impacts.
Through these initiatives, Regions4 reinforced its role as a global network of subnational governments committed to sustainable development, enabling regions to lead locally, engage globally, and translate international ambitions into concrete action.
