RegionsAdapt is the platform within the Race to Resilience that offers States and Regions the unique opportunity to showcase actions and drive ambition. When joining RegionsAdapt, members automatically join the Regions Race to Resilience.
What do States and Regions commit to when joining the Regions Race to Resilience?
To demonstrate their leadership on adapting to climate, States and regions must commit to the following pledges:
Assess
climate change impacts through vulnerability assessments that include all vulnerable communities.
Plan
prioritize and adopt an ambitious adaptatation plan and/or programme (mainstreaming adaptation into other sectoral policies), including the most vulnerable, with targets and long-term goals.
Act
and implement concrete actions on adaptation in key identified priority areas.
Report
annually on their progress through RegionsAdapt / CDP reporting platform to inform and improve policies and actions, and track their commitments to the Race to Resilience
