The 16th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity will take place on 21 October – 1 November 2024 in Cali, Colombia, alongside the tenth Meeting of the Parties to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety (Cartagena Protocol MOP 11) and the fourth Meeting of the Parties to the Nagoya Protocol on Access and Benefit-sharing (Nagoya Protocol MOP 5). This COP16 is the first meeting since the adoption of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework known as “The Biodiversity Plan”.
