Regions4SDGs Initiative

In partnership with UN-Habitat, Regions4 has launched the Regions4SDGs initiative to involve subnational governments worldwide in a common effort to build capacity, mobilize finance and strengthen political leadership supporting the implementation of SDGs.

Join our event to discover how regions and cities are working together to localize the SDGs through the projects by Regions4 and UN-Habitat.

Objectives of the event:

  • To serve as a platform for diverse stakeholders such as governments of all levels, financing institutions, and academia, to exchange practices, explore innovative solutions, and forge partnerships harnessing the power of cooperation to accelerate sustainable urban and territorial development, ultimately making use of the SDG Cities and Regions4 networks.
  • To update the global community on the UN-Habitat Offering on SDG Localization Framework, the SDG Cities progress and the new Regions4SDGs initiative led by Regions4 and UN-Habitat.
  • To provide an experience-sharing opportunity for local and subnational governments on SDG implementation for the UN 2030 Agenda.
  • To introduce a global community platform for diverse levels of multi-stakeholders such as governments, civil society, finance institutions, and academia to enhance connectivity to accelerate the local implementation of the SDGs.
  • To strengthen the partnership between Regions4 and SDG Cities to boost the engagement of the global community.
