Regions4 is organizing the workshop “Regional Leadership for Just Resilience: Advancing Climate and Biodiversity Action with IPLCs and other stakeholders” to advance the concept of Just Resilience by integrating social equity and justice into climate adaptation and biodiversity conservation actions. The 90-minute session will bring together regional leaders, experts, and stakeholders to define Just Resilience at the subnational level and create actionable tools for its implementation. 

The workshop will feature high-level interventions, including opening remarks from Regions4’s Secretary General and a representative from the Scottish Government. A presentation on the Just Resilience framework, in which Regions4 has been working on,  will be followed by insights from the recent Breakthrough Workshop on Indigenous Economy and Just Resilience held in Napo, Ecuador (20-24 January, 2025). Interactive breakout sessions will enable participants to contribute to the concept’s development and share perspectives on implementation challenges and opportunities.
