Lombardy Region, with the collaboration of Lombardy Foundation for the Environment, is organizing a workshop in the framework of the World Environmental Education Conference (WEEC) in Prague on March 16th, 2022. The workshop will be focused on setting and implementing territorial processes of Education for Sustainable Development and aims at specifically sharing and discussing, as emphisized by UNESCO in its recent initiative ESD 2030 Roadmap, the adoption of specific actions to integrate ESD into regional policies and programs.

WEEC is an authoritative international network of academics and non-formal subjects active in the field of Education for Sustainable Development: their biennial global conferences represent a relevant occasion to share knowledges, expertise, and practice outcomes on this topic among institutions and organizations from all over the world.

Regional administrations attendance will allow to raise the interest on high-level education for sustainable development, as enabling factor to improve regional policies and to foster interregional cooperative relationships for growth and nurturing dialogue.

Regional administrations will introduce the strategies they’ve experienced in framing regional EE and ESD programs, benchmarking the most relevant outcomes and practices in a peer context.
