The ICPD25 is convened under the auspices of the Governments of the Republic of Kenya, the Kingdom of Denmark and United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) on the 12-14 November in Nairobi, Kenya.

The Summit marks the 25th anniversary of the adoption of the landmark Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development, by 179 governments in Cairo, Egypt, in 1994.

The Summit aims to mobilize political and financial momentum to advance the ICPD agenda, as indispensable in achieving the 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development, in particular around harnessing the demographic dividend, reducing maternal and child mortality and eradicating gender violence.
